7 Principles series: How to deal with set backs (The Re-up)

Below I will discuss 7 principles for overcoming tough circumstances.

Average Joe’s Let Circumstances, control the Goals.

The premise

The purpose of this post is to give you seven principles, you can carry to the grave.

The purpose of these principles is to give you can add to your arsenal, in times of trouble to pull through and reach your goals.

Often we fall of the workout bandwagon, and fall victim to becoming mere mortals and average, but in order to reach your fitness goals, you have to remain a savage. That means you have to pull through the bs and accomplish your goals no matter what.

So let’s get started no particular order I will give you the tools you need, to add to your life in order to succeed

Realization

Rather than trying to figure out whats the perfect method to achieve your fitness goals, pick something and see it all the way through. The whole time keeping track of your results and doing research  for your next workout regimen, the point of realization, is to find what works for you. You don’t have to be super analytical   just take into account what your trying to accomplish. Does the current diet/work out program, hinder or help your cause?

Don’t be afraid to learn and try new things, this is also key to the realization phase.

This is also the key to being a savage as well, average folks stick to average, and dull workouts instead of something new and exciting, they would rather stick to fads, and the trends they see on social media and TV.

They would rather stick to doing what has the most gimmicks and easiest route to success than what actually works but that’s a different story.

Rewiring

If your more comfortable with following the masses, and ignoring the portion of exercise and fitness, where you actually find out what works for you than this rule is for you.

You need to be reprogrammed and rewired, I can’t stress enough that there are a thousand ways to workout, and you have to pick the methods that are most suitable for you.

Even when you have a good program, analyze what you like about it and see if there is something similar to it that you can try next.

Reprogram

Chances are you lead a busy life. work, school, kids, spouses, and a job plus bills to pay. Don’t be afraid to make a commitment to your health, because of these circumstances.

The healthier you are the better you can perform in life, the better boss, employee, parent, and spouse you can be. Your productivity will soar, when your body is functioning properly. The first key is reprogramming your mind, if you say your too tired from work to workout, that no excuse, because you will always be tired, and your health and fitness will continue to deteriorate while your to busy being tired.

If you have kids you need to stay healthy kids love bragging about having strong moms and dads, you are the first people they idolize, its important you leave a good impression on them. Ultimately  reprogramming is about, realizing fitness can only help you improve, and become a better person on all levels. I will dedicate posts to reprogramming your life financially and schedule wise in the future.

Reset

As previously mentioned, you won’t always have the ideal environment, or circumstances. So it’s important you realize that you may need to keep your end goal in mind at all times.

You need to master the art of resetting, know when you need to drop certain things and focus on the most important things. You also need to practice the art of the spin moves(delegation and prioritizing).

You need to keep in mind certain circumstances will always pop up, and you need to spin around them, the way a ball player would move around the opposing teams defense.

You also need to know when its time to give tasks to other people to do. I will also cover this in future post as well.

Recipe

You need to realize that is may be impossible in most cases to gt the stars to align properly to achieve your goals.

Unless you realize you need to prioritize and utilize tools in the same order you would use ingredients in a  recipe. You will need the following in most cases:

  1. You will need supplements, unless you can get the right ingredients and products and consume them the way you should, than protein will always be a must.

  2. You will need a babysitter if your the person who can’t workout because your kid is your excuse, even though most gyms have free day cares so there is no excuse really.

  3. You may need to cut some unnecessary expenses.

  4. You may need to stop  hiding behind fancy materialistic, crap, to compensate for being out of shape, and for yourself to make a change, rather than covering up the stuff that you don’t like about yourself.

Realignment

When you learn new tools throw out what doesn’t work.

Replace tools in your tool box, when they become useless. when you learn a new recipe replace an old one with it. Try new things and replace old ineffective methods, with new alternatives. Redesign and realign your life around these new tools, in order to succeed.

Release

Learn when to cut things from your life.

Learn when to drop bad habits.

Learn when its time to release things.

Learn what to release and then release it.

In Summary

These are just some basic concepts, I want you guys to carry along with you, these seven principles are not definitive and you may need to add of subtract to the list accordingly.

Of course I will also cover these principles more in depth in future posts, and I will also give you guys more principles to incorporate into your life.
